"A Musical Mosaic" Presented by Palos Verdes / South Bay Alumni
Saturday, February 05, 2022
Category: Events

The Palos Verdes/South Bay Alumni Chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon has prepared a marvelous Musical Mosaic concert. However, due to the persistence of covid, it became necessary to alter our plans and present our concert online only. In order to benefit from the very competent professionals who assisted us last year, we needed to make the decision now, rather than wait until closer to the date. Whether in-person or online, we planned this concert to be hugely appealing to our viewers, due to its diversity and the excellence of our performers!

The Musical Mosaic is our chapter's major fundraiser. All the revenues from this concert fund grants we award to worthy public school music programs. It is especially important at this time of financial insecurity that we provide all the support we can to those programs which help maintain music as a viable and essential component of public education.

Musical Mosaic launches on Sat., Feb. 5 at 4:00 PST. Please see the attached flyer (below) which shows our performers and provides a brief description of each of them. You will undoubtedly recognize some of them, particularly jazz pianist David Benoit, whose reputation is world wide, and composer, conductor Charles Dickerson who is the Artistic Director of the Inner City Youth Orchestra of LA.

To purchase tickets and/or donate to Musical Mosaic, please click on the purple box at the bottom of the flyer or scan the QR code. We are requesting $25 for a single viewer and $50 for a household.

I look forward to greeting each of you on Feb. 5 at 4:00 PST.
With the love of music in my heart,

Darlene Vlasek
