Who will be in attendance
Collegiates, alumni and guest are invited to participate (non-members may not attend member-only sessions). All chapters are encouraged to send as many individuals as they'd like, but all collegiate chapters are required to register one business delegate.

Hotel
Please see our hotel page for more information on the special MPE room rate and how to make a reservation. Collegiate Business and Music (performer) delegates: Do not book your room through the hotel if you want to be included in the complimentary room block. See "What's included for collegiates" below.  As of July 12, all room assignments have been made for collegiates who opted to stay in the complimentary block. Please contact the IEO if you have any questions. 

Suggested Arrival

  • District Directors - Prior to 8:00 am District Director Training start time on July 19.
  • Anyone attending the International Competition - July 19, prior to TBD bus departure from hotel to performance venue Event has been postponed.
  • Convention Attendees: July 19, prior to 3:00 pm for those interested in the pre-Convention programming (see schedule for sessions added to agenda in lieu of the postponed International Competition). Otherwise, the Convention officially kicks off at 7:45 pm. 
  • Pre-Convention Meetings for select individuals  - July 19, prior to 6:15 pm start time for the following meetings:
    • Resolutions Committee
    • Credentials Committee
    • Steward and Teller Orientation
    • Social Media & Convention Communications Committee

Suggested Departure
Everyone - Anytime after the Closing Banquet on July 22 (Banquet begins at 6:00 pm)

What's included for collegiates
For Collegiate Business and Collegiate Music (Performer) Delegates, the hotel room is covered by the fraternity if they agree to share a room with up to three other delegates (room assignments made by the fraternity). Please note that Collegiate Business and Music Delegates are not required to take advantage of this complimentary hotel room assignment. If they choose not to participate, they must make their own room reservations directly with the hotel (at their own expense). The choice to participate in the fraternity's room block is made on the registration form. As of July 12, all room assignments have been made for collegiates who opted to stay in the complimentary block. Please contact the IEO if you have any questions. 

The convention registration fee and transportation to/from the convention is the responsibility of each individual (or chapter, if they are paying for it).

Conference App and Schedule
There will be no printed Convention program book this year. Convention participants will receive an email with a link to the conference app prior to the Convention which include the schedule, session descriptions, presenter bios, etc. A printed 'at a glance' schedule will be available at the Convention registration desk for those who prefer not to use the app (note, this schedule only includes session titles and times. No descriptions or bios). 

Meals
All meals on Thursday,  Friday and Saturday (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are included with each registration. 

Attire
Don't forget your Mu Phi Epsilon pin! Daily sessions are casual business attire. It's a good idea to bring a sweater or wrap since hotel meeting rooms can sometimes be chilly. The Embassy Suite's fitness club, pool and Jacuzzi will be available during your free time, so don't forget a swimsuit and/or workout attire. Saturday evening's closing banquet is business professional/formal; for women, this means short or long dress and for men, a sport coat or suit.

Parking
The Embassy Suites provides complimentary self-parking.

Ground Transportation
The Embassy Suites offers a complimentary courtesy shuttle to/from the DFW Airport, 24/7.

  • From the airport to the hotel: Go to the purple "Courtesy Van" area outside of baggage claim, then call 972-724-2600 and connect with the hotel's operator. The operator will schedule your pick up. 
  • From hotel to the airport: Shuttles depart every 30 minutes, 24/7. Please be in the lobby area between 5-7 minutes ahead as the shuttle will leave promptly.

International Competition Finals
This event has been postponed. There is NO admission charge and everyone is encouraged to attend. The finals will be held at the University of North Texas on Wednesday, July 19 at 1:00. The Mu Phi Epsilon Foundation will provide transportation for convention attendees. Busses will depart the hotel for UNT at TBD.

Music Delegates (Performers)
Collegiate Music Delegates must attend all sessions, unless excused for rehearsals by the Music Adviser. Alumni Music Delegates are encouraged to attend sessions, and must be available for scheduled rehearsals. Music Delegates may not serve as Business Delegates.

Business Delegates
You must be officially registered before the opening ceremony at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19. You must attend all scheduled events listed in the convention program – all meals, business sessions and recitals – and you must exercise your voting privilege. Attendance will be taken. You must remain through the final banquet on Saturday evening, July 22. You may plan to leave Grapevine anytime after the banquet.

Candidates for 2023-26 International Executive Board
During the Convention, each province will meet and select one alumni delegate and one collegiate delegate to serve on the Nominating Committee. These 24 individuals will later meet to put together a slate of officers for the delegation to consider at the Convention's business session. A candidate packet is available for review for anyone who would like to learn more about the individuals running for the IEB.

Convention SERV Project
Our Convention SERV project is making blankets for the Genesis Women's Shelter in Dallas. Meeting times will be posted in the conference app.
