The Triangle is the official quarterly journal of Mu Phi Epsilon. It is a means of communication for the Fraternity membership and a vehicle for presenting Mu Phi Epsilon and its members to the music world.

  • All materials submitted for publication consideration become the property of Mu Phi Epsilon. Electronic transmissions are preferred. Requests for return of hard copy submissions and photographs must be accompanied with a self-addressed stamped envelope. 

  • PHOTOS: Photographs must be sharp (not blurry), well lit, and sent as the original digital file in as high resolution as possible. Images copied or downloaded from social media are not acceptable. Smartphone photos will be considered if emailed directly from the phone or downloaded and sent in a high-resolution format. Always include as much information as possible, including photographer or courtesy credit information. Clearly identify the people in the photo by first and last names and their chapter affiliations, whenever available. Additional details, such as the names of events, dates and locations, are also important. 
  • MEMBER AND/OR CHAPTER NEWS: Always include as much information as possible. Follow the who, what, where, when and how format, and include any other additional important details. Include members' chapter affiliations whenever possible. 
  • FEATURES: If you would like to write an article for The Triangle, please send your query addressed to Ellen Ritscher Sackett at Pitches should be no more than 350 to 500 words and need to explain why the story is relevant to The Triangle and members of Mu Phi Epsilon. Completed, unsolicited manuscripts and reprints may be considered but are not guaranteed for publication. 
  • MUSINGS: The Musings column provides active members the space to share their thoughts in essay form with the Mu Phi Epsilon community. It is approximately 350 words in length, and its topic must be relevant to the fraternity. Photos may be considered but are not required. Solicitations may be sent as a pitch or on spec for consideration to
