Mu Phi Epsilon's Gamma Eta Chapter from Central State University in Wilberforce Ohio, played to a full house in the Dayton Opera's October 31 production of "Porgy and Bess".   The performance marked the 50th anniversary season of the Dayton Opera bringing professional opera performances to Dayton, Ohio and the 75th anniversary season of "Porgy and Bess" which premiered in New York in 1935.

Central State University Senior and Gamma Eta Member Chris Smith led the eight-member Gamma Eta group who appeared in the opera.  Chris represented Gamma Eta during the 2009 Mu Phi Epsilon National Convention in Jacksonville, FL.
