Beta Theta

Mu Phi Epsilon is a coeducational, professional music fraternity which was founded by Dr. Winthrop S. Sterling and Elizabeth Mathias Fuqua on November 13, 1903, at the Metropolitan College of Music, Cincinnati, Ohio.

The fraternity has as its purpose the advancement of music in America and throughout the world, the promotion of musicianship and scholarship, loyalty to the Alma Mater, and the development of a true bond of friendship.

The Fraternity is composed of Collegiate Chapters, Alumni Chapters and Allied Members.

As a professional music service fraternity founded over 100 years ago, we hope you will find the time to learn more about us and what we do for the music department at TN Tech. Tennessee Tech University hosts the Beta Theta chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon. Beta Theta was installed on May 29, 1966 and has been actively serving the music department ever since. Our services extend to every aspect of our department: bands, choirs, orchestras, piano, etc.
